NHC Foxhunting Clinic

Saturday, August 12, 2023

The Norfolk Hunt Club will host its annual mounted foxhunting clinic at the beautiful Steeplechase Course in Medfield, Massachusetts. Work with your horse over obstacles typically found in hunt country, or if you prefer, work on the flat. If you choose to jump, the clinic is a great way to prepare for the upcoming Norfolk Hunt season.

Jennifer Rogers-Farrin, an experienced rider, field master, and whipper-in, will lead the foxhunting clinic. Participants will be divided into groups based on rider ability, and will work on both the flat and over fences. (Riders are not required to jump if they prefer to work solely on the flat)

Horses and riders must be comfortable in open country and in the company of other horses. Instruction on foxhunting etiquette and proper turnout for horse and rider will be included, as will brief exposure to the Norfolk foxhounds.

Lunch with Jennifer Rogers-Farrin, Huntsman Steve Farrin and NHC Joint Master Sarah Monaco will follow the event, so participants will have the opportunity to ask questions on a one-on-one basis.
