Polo in the Country
The 21st annual "Polo In the Country" 2024 -- a fun filled afternoon of sport and entertainment for adults and children alike--will take place on Sunday, September 15 (rain or shine) at the Norfolk Hunt Steeplechase Course, 240 North Street, Medfield, MA. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. Activities begin at 12:00 p.m., Polo begins at 1:00 p.m
The event, presented by the Norfolk Hunt Club, raises funds for the preservation and protection of recreational space in Medfield, Dover, Sherborn and the surrounding communities.
Please note, this event is rain or shine, so we encourage you to dress accordingly and have fun. In the event the Norfolk Hunt Club cancels Polo in the Country due to dangerous weather conditions, you will be notified and issued a full refund.
Three types of seating are available:
General admission
General admission is $20 for adults and $5 for children (ages one through twelve), payable as you enter or in advance (see ‘purchase tickets here’ button). Bring your own chair! PLEASE NOTE - pop up tents are only allowed at purchased tailgate spots. Due to limited space, no pop ups or umbrellas will be allowed for general admission ticket holder areas.
Tailgates - SOLD OUT
Spots at field side are $115 by advance reservation - all tailgaters must purchase a general admission ticket. Please note that preference is given to those who had reserved spots the previous year!
VIP Tables - SOLD OUT
Seating is $300 per table of eight by advance reservation - general admission included. Please note that preference is given to those who had reserved spots the previous year!

This year's match will pit Norfolk Polo against Dedham Polo. Both teams are comprised of players who have competed throughout the United States, Europe and South America. "Polo In the Country" is the only polo event open to the public in the Metrowest area.
The afternoon flies by quickly, as entertainment and amenities surrounding the game provide additional excitement for spectators.
Children will enjoy Pony Rides, spectacular Face Painting, the C&C Ice Cream Truck, as well as participate in an old fashioned Candy Toss, and our action packed Stick Pony Event during halftime! All spectators will enjoy the exciting polo match, tailgate and table competitions, the breathtaking parade of hounds that kicks off halftime, and wonderful food from the local restaurant - RibPublic BBQ.
